Mekaela and Jason will be having their wedding in Sedona, so they have been making trips up there from Tucson to get everything set into place. This last trip was intended to nail down a reception location. Even though the trip report does not show any pictures related to the research process, it does show all the fun we had while in between the planning!

Like last year, we decided to incorporate some pre and post-event activities around the Fat Tire Toys for Tots event we volunteer for every year. Our first stop would be Childs, then the bike/overland route that would take us from Flagstaff to the south rim of the Grand Canyon all off highway. We then finished off the trip with a stop in Sedona for lunch before heading home.

After several months of planning we set out on our New Mexico Adventure. We learned a lot from this trip. It presented challenges for the team along the way, but we persevered! The journey started with a long drive from Tucson to the spectacular Sandia Mountains, where we rested before heading north. The next morning we stretched on to the mountains north of Taos, where we spent several days. After some fishing and relaxation we headed south to the Gila Wilderness. We saw more wildlife in the few hours it took to get to our next destination, than we saw the entire first half of the adventure. The Gila Wilderness is truly intriguing.

As we get into the warmer summer months we are always looking for ways to beat the heat! The White Mountains definitely serve that purpose . Click for full trip report. |

We will probably place this into our top list of favorite back country adventures. We must have planned this perfectly as all of the wild flowers were in full bloom as well! The area was beautiful and in pristine shape. We didn’t hear or see another soul the entire time while out there. The area is extremely remote and difficult to get to, but worth it when you get there. Click for full trip report. |

The Cruz Adventures team set-out to create a back road trip from Roosevelt Lake to the Mogollon Rim. We decided to bypass the advice of a local who told us that there was timber down on the trail, and that we would never make it. Of course, this sounded right up our alley and the thought of challenge ahead excited us even more. With curiosity overwhelming us we decided to muscle ahead! Little did we know… Cick for full trip report. |
